Meeting Schedule as of 10/16/2011

Here is a schedule of the meetings we have scheduled so far for the year. There will be updates as we can confirm certain outings and such. Most meetings are on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month and go from 3:05-5:00pm unless otherwise noted.

Brownie of the Day openings!!!

We have some openings for Brownie of the Day coming up, don't miss this opportunity to help out and see what we do during a meeting. The girls feel so special when a parent or relative comes to the meeting to be with them. If you are unfamiliar with our Brownie of the Day opportunity here is a description of what happens when you sign your daugher up for this special day:

1.   A special person/parent, grandparent, adult relative comes to the meeting to work with all the girls that day.
2.   You provide a healthy snack and drink for our troop of 31 girls. We provide cups and hungry girls.
3.   Your daughter is first in line for everything! Is recognized as Brownie of the Day and leads the Girl Scout pledge/law.
4.   She will receive a specail "Girl Power" patch for her vest and a picture on our website of the adult and girl together.

Meeting Tuesday 10/18 3:05-5:00

At our meeting on Tuesday we will continue with the "Mannners" Try-It badge. The girls learned last time that many different cultures do not us forks and knives but fingers and chopstiks to eat their food. They also learned how to order from a menu, how to sit and what utensil to use while at a restaurant. This week they will learn how to properly introduce and greet others. If the weather cooperates we will be outside on the black top doing a game with the girls. Please pick up your daugher at this location.

Meeting Tuesday 10/4 in the Art room

Our next meeting the girls will work on 2 Try-It badges. The first one in the Art room will be "Manners" when we will share with the girls all we know about proper introductions, phone manners and how to set the perfect table. Next the girls will be going out to the back parking lot to work another Try-It "Sports and Games". We will be doing an obstacle course on bikes, please have your daughter bring her bike and helmet with her to school that day for this portion of the meeting. If you would rather drop it off please do so by 3:05 to the bike rack in the back of the school. Pick up will be  in the rear of the school.
